OHIO BIKE WEEK BIKE SHOW
BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE
With the new, concentrated high octane approach taken by Ohio Bike Week this year – the OBW Bike Show presented by Thunder Roads Ohio has been given a make-over in the interests of creating the state’s premier outdoor show for custom and classic motorcycles. Show promoters have teamed with sponsors to offer new trophies, placards, CASH AWARDS, and a custom 24kt gold and silver BEST OF SHOW RING crafted by Vivid Jewelers in Bay Village. (www. This year’s show will be held downtown Sandusky on the water, Sunday May 27th. Exact times are still being finalized as other aspects of the schedule are being considered, but at this time it’s expected that Registration will begin at 12 Noon and run until 2pm. Voting and judging will follow with Awards being announced in the evening. With the show being held in the center of everything downtown, participants and those coming to appreciate the rolling works of art will have plenty to do while in the area. And of course, you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop than Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie for the show.
This year’s show will use a combined system of People’s Choice Votes and weighted Judges Scoring to determine the winner amongst more than a dozen classes – including North American Custom, Stock, and Radical classes; Metric and Vintage Classes, Three Wheelers, Competitive Performance, and Custom Paint. Specific BAGGER and AUDIO Classes are offered for the first time this year. Special Pro-Builder and Garage Builder Awards will also be given out.
It’s a RIDE-IN show, though, in the midst of the Midwest’s Largest Motorcycle Rally – and everyone is encouraged to participate. Even if you’ve never shown your bike, you’re welcome to come on out and show off what you’ve done to make it yours. Thunder Roads Ohio will be on-site, not just hosting the show – but also photographing bikes to be featured in the magazine and possibly nationally through the Thunder Roads Network. All makes and models are welcome, and the hope is that a wide range of bikes are shown – representing the wide range of riders that participate in the rally.
