71st Annual Devil’s Staircase AMA PRO HILLCLIMB
It’s been a long and challenging year, so it’s with a lot of excitement that we share the news that – “Hillclimb Sunday is ON!” With so many of our favorite events being cancelled or postponed, this is a welcome reprieve from the series of disappointments of the 2020 season.
Unfortunately, the Dayton Motorcycle Club has had to make a number of changes to accommodate the new realities and restrictions mandated. They will be dropping the Saturday events and will be limiting some aspects, and with some – playing by ear. For instance, at this time we are still planning on hosting the TRO Bike Show. So our recommendation is to visit our facebook page – www.Facebook.com/ThunderRoadsOhio and follow the event page there for updates.
In their announcement, they shared “We’re going to pull the plug on Saturday to focus all of our efforts to putting on the best and safest show on Sunday Oct 11. The dirt drags/field meet/band will return in 2021.”
“We are confident that we can meet state mandated COVID-19 safety and social distancing guidelines and put on a fun and safe event for everyone. If you feel sick stay home, if you’re worried about getting sick stay home.”
Sunday, October 11th will be the 71st running of the hillclimbs at Oregonia, making it one of the longest running motorcycle events in the country. It’s the culmination of the AMA PRO RACING series and generally determines the series Champions every year.
For those coming out for the weekend, the DMC is offering overnight camping in our field across the street. It’s primitive, but there’s plenty of space along the river and woods within walking distance from all the festivities. It’s a beautiful area and allows you to inexpensively camp right at the event and start your day – at the Hillclimbs! Camping is $10 per person per night.
Primitive camping is across the street in the car parking lot, we will show everyone where to park, look for the porta jons, we still need to use the field for car parking on Sunday. It’s $10.00 per person per night, if you come in Friday evening we’re going to charge you for Friday night and Saturday night, Sunday night will be free. There will be no pit bikes,quads,razors,golf carts etc allowed.
Avoid scammers! Please Note – there are NO advance tickets, pre-sale tickets or any other tickets available prior to the day of the event. Anyone offering to sell tickets ahead of the event are scammers trying to rip you off. Don’t fall for it.

Directions: I-71 to exit 36, follow signs 2.5 miles, or St. Rt. 42 , 1 mile south of Waynesville follow signs to 1086 Corwin Rd. Oregonia Ohio. Oregonia is 10 miles north of Kings Island.
