OHIO BIKE WEEK to host TRO CHAMPIONSHIP BIKE SHOW
The Best of the Best will head to Sandusky for the Championship Ring!
Thunder Roads Ohio is proud to announce that this year’s Bike Show Series will culminate with a CHAMPIONSHIP BIKE SHOW – to be held as part of Ohio Bike Week over Memorial Weekend in 2019. The best of the best, from bike shows all across the Midwest will be invited to participate in this invitational bike show and compete for over $10,000 in cash and prizes – including the Championship Builder Ring – custom made by Lenny Strnad of Vivid Jewelers in Bay Village (www.VividJewelers.com)
The Best of Show Winners from each of the TRO Championship Bike Shows will automatically earn an invitation to the OHIO BIKE WEEK Invitational Bike Show on Sunday, May 26th in Sandusky. Top scoring bikes from the series will be reviewed and also earn invitations as the Top Bikes in their classes. At the show, a system utilizing weighted judges scores and the votes from those attending will determine the BEST in each class, the SHOW, and the MIDWEST overall.
“It only makes sense that Ohio Bike Week would host the Championship Bike Show,” commented Derek Smith, publisher of Thunder Roads Ohio. “Ohio Bike Week brings riders from throughout the Midwest and is a great chance to kick off the riding season by recognizing the best of the winter and previous year’s shows.”

In 2018, TRO and Ohio Bike Week moved the Bike Show downtown and hosted it right on the water at the Barrel House Pier – with the awards then being presented on the main stage in the back lot. It was a great chance to showcase some amazing bikes and really created a spectacle that everyone enjoyed. Looking towards 2019, the event organizers and TRO seek to continue building on the Bike Show aspect of the rally by creating an expanded shop and custom motorcycle presence in the area.
“By hosting the Championship Bike Show and showcasing not only the bikes themselves but an expanded emphasis on the builders and shops as well – Ohio Bike Week is re-affirming that we are the Midwest’s LARGEST MOTORCYCLE EVENT – not just a music festival,” commented Brad Stofcheck, from Advantage Entertainment – the hosts of Ohio Bike Week.
A limited number of feature Exhibitor Spots will be available to showcase the work of the regions top builders as well as some of the top shops from across the nation. And a Builders Banquet is being developed as a chance for exhibitors, builders, and enthusiasts alike to mingle and celebrate the artistry of the motorcycle community.
