IT’S BACK!

The Summit Racing Equipment I-X Piston Powered Auto-Rama RETURNS to CLEVELAND for 2022

Cancelled abruptly on what would have been load-in day in 2020 due to the early restrictions and chaos surrounding COVID – “The Piston Power Show” left a hole in the heart of gear heads from across the Midwest.  Over the past two years, the most common question we’ve been asked is by far “What about the Piston Power Show?”

Thankfully – we not only have an update, but we have some good news!

The largest indoor showcase of custom vehicles in the nation returns once more to the Cleveland I-X Center for the weekend of April 1-3, 2022.  Under new ownership, the Cleveland I-X Center is now managed by Spectra Venue Management – a world leader in the industry, hosting more than 15,000 events a year for upwards of 23 million guests across the United States, Canada, and around the globe.  From professional sports arenas and convention centers to performing arts centers and collegiate stadiums – Spectra brings the strength of a global network to these facilities.  For Cleveland, this means expanded opportunities and an improved experience for those attending I-X Center events.

For the I-X Center, Spectra has already recruited key personnel from the I-X Center’s past to bring experience and continuity to the facility and events such as the Piston Power Show.  This includes Steve Legerski, Piston Power Show Manager.

“We’re excited about the new possibilities for the I-X Center and the Summit Racing Equipment Piston Powered Auto-Rama!”, Steve has shared.  “We will be rebooting the plans that we had in place for the 2020 Show – with an eye on opportunities for us to improve.”

Legerski will start off by reaching out to most of the key participants and organizations involved in the 2020 show – offering them a chance to return and take part in the 2022 production.

“Over the years, we’ve developed a lot of great partnerships – and we want to honor those as we move forward with the new ownership”, Steve explained.

This includes Summit Racing (www.SummitRacing.com) as the Presenting Sponsor of the Show and Thunder Roads Ohio (www.ThunderRoadsOhio.com) as a partner in the production of the motorcycle aspects of the show.  TRO will also once again be awarding the People’s Choice Award for most popular bike amongst those attendees voting.

Thunder Roads Ohio will have a limited number of spots reserved for show winners from the 2021 TRO Bike Show Series.  Additionally, we will be working with show management to assign additional spots on the show floor.  Show management is looking to keep the show new and as exciting as possible, so an effort will be made to feature bikes that have not previously been displayed at the show.  If you are interested in participating in the show – please send an email with photo(s) of the bike you wish to display and some information on it to BikeShowInfo@gmail.com  Don’t wait – SEND as SOON AS POSSIBLE.  Show management wants to lock down all the bike spots as soon as possible.  In years past, that’s already been accomplished by now, but obviously this is a unique year in so many ways.

That being said – we are excited to be once again working on the Summit Racing Equipment I-X Piston Powered Auto-Rama, the Midwest’s Largest Custom Vehicle Showcase!
