Spring is just around the corner…
Woot, Woot! Finally, we are so close to spring we can hear the motors running! What a crazy, cold winter we’ve had! But it’s soon to be over and we can blow the dust off our bikes and get ready for the road!
Speaking of that…are you ready? There’s a lot to do and usually so little time to do it in. That’s life though, rush, rush, rush…get this done, go to that event, oh and there’s that thing tomorrow. So, what about tomorrow? I mean, it’s okay to make plans for it, but did you know that it isn’t promised to us? The Bible in James 4:13-14 says, (Mary-phrased) “Let’s go to this town and buy and sell until next year and if we’re lucky…”
Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya? (I just had to do my best Eastwood!)
Sure, we have the freedom of the road and when the wind is flowing across our faces, we feel a freedom like no other. It’s our happy place, a peaceful place where nothing can touch us, and our minds can flow freely becoming one with nature. Yet, when we stop, does the freedom stop? Or does the reality of life hit and once again we feel the pangs of our discontent? I am here to tell you my friends, there is a place of peace and freedom even after the ride is over.
You see, we really cannot see so far down the road that our plans are a sure thing. However, we can be ready for whatever comes simply by trusting in the One who holds our future in His hands. That One is Jesus. His plans for you are to prosper you and bring you into a good place. An eternity of life and freedom that isn’t really known without Him. And He is a sure thing!
